What is the DREAM Act?

The DREAM, or Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors, Act is a piece of legislation that is intended to give conditional residency to some immigrants who qualify. Some of the qualifications are: completed high school, complete 2 years in the armed services or at least 2 years in a program for a bachelor’s degree or higher. The bill has since changed and has been amended.
